  3. I am a plastic surgeon in Houston and can say that depending upon the amount removed- the first couple of days you will think the doctor put fat in you due to the swelling! After about a week to ten days, you will start to notice improvements in your contour. If you wear your compressive garment and limit your physical activity- you will see marked results after 3 to 6 weeks.

    Remember- it takes a full 6 months to see the final result after liposuction.

    Be sure you are being treated by a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery- you can research your doctor here-
